Excelhigh, Inc was incorporated in 1990 in New York State. The coir division, for erosion control, home furnishings, horticultural and agricultural products, began in 1994. The principals of the company began to see a need, in the early 1990s, for environmentally friendly products as Americans began to shift away from synthetic to natural. Utilizing the tremendous productive capacities of Hayleys of Sri Lanka and other Indian companies, Excelhigh Inc began to explore the possibility of engaging in this changing American mind-set in the early 90s.

The coir division of Excelhigh, Inc., carpets, doormats, mattresses, brushes, pith bricks and a whole array of erosion control products.
